Humorous Scottish Sayings

From BBC Scotland Radio...

"People of the northeast--slow to accept you but once they hook on,  you have to have an operation to get them taken off!"

SUNRISE SURPRISES!

GOOD DAY, SUNSHINE!
The mornings are such a spectacular sight! Even though I am not (by nature) an early riser, I refuse to close my curtains in my bedroom since I am overlooking only the North Sea--no other houses or even streets block my view!  The way the sunlight streams into my east window,  I just have to look out and see what God cooked up today!

I'm now keeping my digital camera on the window sill so I can capture these inspiring moments.  They do change every few seconds, so I just do a few pictures and then go back to sleep, if possible!  Some mornings, it is just way too spectacular to put my head back under the pillow!

SIEZE THE DAY!

Ommmmm....

Another day, another sunrise!
Third consecutive morning I was wakened by THE LIGHT!

One of the guys who delivered our take-away the other evening just said:  Living here is like winning the lottery!

Feeling like 'One Lucky Lassie' in Bonny Scotland!  Aye!

Aug. 26 Moon Rise at Cove Bay

I wish my camera could capture the light of the moon reflected on the water of the North Sea when it is really DARK out, and all looks like streams of silver ribbons!

There are also some lovely stars out tonight!

How beautiful!

My Son, the Photographer

Nate took this picture in Italy....
I really like the composition and the contrast of the colors in it...

He is using it in a school project.

Evening Scene on July 9

This is almost 10 p.m.  The daylight stays with us until around 11 p.m.!
It never feels like 'the day is done' to me.
By the time it is really dark, I fall into bed and the sun comes peeping into my window again at 4:30-ish a.m.!
No worries about getting TOO MUCH sleep!

Can you see those Kayaks passing between the rocks?

How lovely and peaceful to hear the sound
of the waves and see the ever-changing

Walking in Crathes Castle Wee Forest Today

rhododendrons in bloom!

Glorious Day of Sunshine and Warmth---I had lunch at Crathes Castle
and took a Wee Walk in the Wee Forest there!
Enjoy the Nature Spirits in these photos!

This is about 20 miles west of Aberdeen...and today was a perfect day to be out in the trees!

Blessings,
Marge
