Quarter to Six on May 17...

William Wordsworth

The Rainbow

My heart leaps up when I behold

A rainbow in the sky:

So was it when my life began;

So is it now I am a man;

So be it when I shall grow old,

Or let me die!

The Child is father of the Man;

I could wish my days to be

Bound each to each by natural piety.

Journeying South Along the East Coast

I went for a drive on Monday, May 3, south of where I live, down A90, then took this turn to Hill of Garvock, then toward the sea, following A92 south to just before Montrose.

I stopped here to read the Historical Marker:  The Hill of Garvock

I don't know if you can read this but it tells the whole story of this area.... the views are amazing!
A better photo than any I took is right here:

and I took video but don't have that up on youtube yet.

I had no idea where I was going, so I just followed my inner guidance and stopped at places that I thought looked interesting or I felt a little 'tug'. I went as far south as St. Cyrus.  Lovely area with an amazing bridge. I don't know why I didn't take more pictures, actually.
There is a property for sale in this area.  I saw the sign.

 I stopped by the sea at Johnshaven just to take a look, because the water looked so different from where I live even though it is the same North Sea.  The tide was down, there were boats everywhere, and the road was very close down to the sea.

I stopped for a light lunch at a restaurant called Cutty Sark in Inverbervie, and it was actually Indian food.  I had no idea just looking at the front of the place.  Yummy Samosas, Rice Palau, and Tea went down a treat!

I was headed to Dunnotar Castle and when I got there, the parking lot was over-filled and there was no easy place to pull off the road so I took a picture of this tower down the road from the Castle, and I kept on going.  It was not real pleasant for walking around at that place just then.  I can go back there easily another time.

I'm looking forward to going back...and I have big idas about all the things I'm going to do on my second visit to the area!  This is the southern end of Aberdeenshire and the northern edge of Kincairdineshire. Montrose sounds lovely, and I hope to check that out on the next round.
